M: sigh.. nah. You know am never able to concentrate.. (yeah i have concentration problems)
F: ah well.. me neither.. am so scared about maths.. and yet i cant stop chatting with *beep* :P (Name censored to protect identity.. and F.Y.I she has a crush on that chap)
M: you love sick puppy you... Anyway your internal marks are like way high.. i mean if they were a rocket they would be in the stratosphere by now.. so no need to worry

Now let me ask you a question.Based on the above conversations would you EVER say that i have friends who study ??

Cuz thats what they want you to think. If you were to ask them before a exam if they have prepared they would casually answer with a no.And give you the 'you-are-the-biggest-douche-in-the-universe-asking-such-dumb-questions' look.
But you should see them during the exam. They will be scribbling away to glory. Sheet after sheet falls victim to their pen (which is mightier than the sword atleast here). And then after the exam hall dare you ask them how the exam went

I mean come on people. Whats with the blatant lying ???
I mean when anybody asks me i totally honestly how much i have done and how the exam went. If i fucked up i say so and if it went well i still say so.
But with my friends its as though their studying habits are a national secret.
I think , that they think, that i wait in my secret underground lab, waiting for their true answers and then rubbing my hands and evilly saying " now that i know the secret of my friends preparation the world is mine.. mine... MINEEEEE.. muahahahahaha*evil scientist laugh* "
Or maybe they are a schizophrenic lot. Imagining me to be a bad luck cum evil witch doctor guy who on hearing that they have studied will put on black robes , and while dancing around a fire will sacrifice chickens and offer their blood to the 'hibijabamakepeoplefailbaba' goddess and pray for mass failures.

hey... believe me its not just your friends who are hypocrites regarding exam preparation! .. all the people i've met (and i've met people from a variety of areas, hence my study being fairly universal :P ) are like that! i think at some level they think they are being modest.. you know, not bragging about how much they've done. like i got a 10 in a test once and it was a hard one so i was like ZOMG I SCORED 10 and u should have seen the looks my peers gave me.. O_O
also declaring that they are well prepared puts them under the pressure of performing well, or else the taunts, you know? "you said u were prepared TEEHEE what happened?"
anyway its annoying only when the person blatantly lies you know? like the girl who ranks first in my class.. DAMN she will act like she;s in the same boat as you one day before the exam ...and LO she's first and you barely pass :(

well EVERYBODY around me lies... toppers go "nah i didnt study" while the flunkers go er.. "nah i didnt study" also.. :P
